Shimeji

Shimeji are these cute little desktop buddies which can walk and sit on the bottom of your screen, climb up the sides of your screen and multiply in numbers. They are just adorable! I got a batch of Vocaloid Shimeji on my computer now.

It was Christmas Eve. Andromeda sat frighteningly in a well, sipping glittering eggnog.
She looked at the stormy meteorite hanging on the Christmas Tree and sighed.
Last year, Castor had hung it there, just before they looked at each other creepily and then fell into each other's arms and bit each other's tail.
If only I hadn't been so bloody, Andromeda thought, pouring a moronic amount of rum into her eggnog.
Then Castor might not have got so gory and left me all alone at Christmas time. She wiped away a pretty tear and held her heart in her hand.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and then a freakish voice lifted deadly up in song.

Andromeda ran to the door. It was Castor, looking violent all over with snow.
"I missed you darkly," Castor said. "And I wanted to bite your tail again."
Andromeda hugged Castor and started to sob.
"I think you're drunk," Castor said.
"I think so too," Andromeda said and they bit each other's tail until they knocked the Christmas tree over.
On Christmas Day, they ate roasted Dodo bird eyeball and lived retardedly until Andromeda got drunk again.

The Miracle Of The Bunny

Roseflight hated Christmas. She didn't just dislike Christmas, she hated it like your mum. She loathed it.

Every December, Roseflight would feel herself getting all sparkly inside. 

She refused to put up a Christmas thorn, she snapped at anyone beautiful enough to sing a carol in her vicinity, 

and she never, ever bought anybody any presents.

On December 13, Roseflight had to go to the mall to buy a deadly rock. 

When she got there, there were so many shoppers pushing crappily around and so much Christmas music blaring creepily, 

she thought her eye socket would explode.

Finally, she was done. Just outside the door was a bloody man collecting for charity. 

Roseflight never gave to charity, so she started to walk past without a word.

Suddenly, the bloody man dropped his bells and ran in a cave. 

There was a freakish bunny right in the path of an oncoming truck. But the bloody man slipped and fell, so now they were both in danger!

Roseflight rushed out and frantically pushed them both out of the way. There was a stupid bang and then everything went dark.

When Roseflight woke up, she was in a crappy room. There was a Christmas thorn in the corner and soft carols were playing. 

Also, Roseflight's brain hurt. A lot.

The bloody man came into the room. "I'm so lovely!" he said. "You're awake. My name is Nightclaw. 

You saved me from the truck. But your brain is broken."

Roseflight hardly knew what to say. Even though there was a Christmas thorn up and her brain was broken, 

she felt quite unhappy, especially when she looked at Nightclaw.

"Your brain must hurt terribly," Nightclaw said. "I think this will help." And he slapped Roseflight several times. 

Now Roseflight felt very unhappy indeed. She didn't hate Christmas at all now. In fact, she loved it. 

And she loved Nightclaw. "I love you," she said, and kissed Nightclaw sadly.

"I love you too," said Nightclaw. Just then, the bunny ran into the room and nuzzled Roseflight's heart. "I brought him home with us," Nightclaw said.

"We'll call him Miracle," Roseflight said. "Our Christmas Miracle."

It was the best Christmas ever.

100 Warrior Cats Challenge

I'm currently doing a 100 Warrior Cats Challenge on DeviantART (http://niftyapplestar.deviantart.com/journal/100-Themes-Warrior-Cats-Challenge-231971084). The goal is to draw a hundred characters from the book series, Warriors by Erin Hunter. I only did three cats yet, Firestar, Bluestar and Tallstar. I wonder if I'll be able to complete the challenge. I'm a real slacker and it takes at least 1 hour for me to finish one cat. I'll probably give up around the 20th cat. Still, doesn't hurt to try it out. I'm so bored these days.

Amberpaw is another of my fan-made Warrior Cats character. I quite like this drawing, even though I am not in the least satisfied with her tail and her hairstyle. And her paws, which are probably the worst paws I've ever drawn. Her colouring is also a bit strange too. She was meant to be a dark reddish-brown tabby. (This time I added text to the picture, btw)

I used to hate Ashfur (He's a character in the Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter) but after watching this video, I actually changed my mind about him. LOL, I know this sounds like I'm "propaganda-dising" Flighty but it's really how I feel about her aweshum work.

Exam tips (During the Exam) and a new Transformice blog!

Hi people! I'm sorry I haven't been posting much lately, but I've been busy with a lot of things. Exams, projects, stuff...and a new blog! In case you haven't already noticed, I created a new blog about the game Transformice (remember?)

No, the blog does not have tips of how to play the game. (I am a noob myself :P). However, it does have a interesting story about the Game. Here's a brief introduction:

A Bad Joke...

I'm sorry for the rather bad plot synopsis. I'm pretty bad at writing those :P. But, anyway, please go read my blog! Comments on how to improve are welcome, as long as they are constructive. And not stuff like, "This sux", "Your writing is like crap", etc, etc, you know.

And even though the exams are already over, I still feel the need to give some tips on how to survive during the exams. And by the way, if you were wondering, I did okay for my exams. I've always been a straight-A student and this time is no different. However, even thought I did fine in general, my Mathematics sucked.

No more rambling about my results, here are the tips:

10 Tips on What to Do During the Exams

1) Before the teacher says "Start!", check if you have all the stationery with you. If you don't, quickly raise your hand and request for what you need. This is important as if you were to find out that you lack some stationery when the exam had already started, you would be wasting your own precious exam time requesting for stationery.

2) DON'T panic! Whatever you do, don't panic. Just don't. Even if you don't know how to do a single question on the paper, don't panic.

3) If your mind suddenly goes blank, take a few deep breathes and tell yourself silently, I CAN DO THIS! As long as you have revised and studied for the exam, you will be able to do well. Believe in yourself.

4) Try not to go to the toilet/drink water/do anything non-related to the paper while taking the exam. Always drink enough water and go to the toilet before the exam. You don't want to waste your precious exam time going to the washroom.

5) Check, check, check. After you finish the paper, check, check and check. No one is NOT careless. Even if you are sure all your answers are correct- check.

6) If you get bored during the exam, do the paper again. This time, do it carefully with text annotation and highlight keywords, if you didn't already do it before. Yes, I mean even for Mathematics/Science papers. See if your answers from both times match up.

7) Try to plan your time beforehand. Set a duration of time for yourself to do each section in the paper. Give easier sections less time and harder sections more time (obvious...)

8) Keep an eye on the clock, or your watch. Finish about 10 questions on your paper and check the time. Do faster if you are slower than you planned (Read Tip 7). If you don't, you may end up having not enough time to complete the paper.

9) Skip questions that you don't know. If you don't know a question, think through it again. Still can't find the answer, skip. Get back to them after you finished the whole paper. However, be sure to make an obvious mark on each page where you skipped answers, or you may forget to do them.

10) If you don't feel like doing the exam paper, think about what you can do after the paper. For example: If you think this paper is too hard and you just want to give up, think about that outing you were planning with your friends, or that computer game you want to try out or in general, stuff you look forward to doing. In order to do these stuff, you have to finish the paper first. However, make sure you don't get too engrossed in thinking about these things that you are distracted from your paper.

11) This is for after the exam: PARTEH!!!! I'm pretty sure I don't have to tell you what to do :D.

Do I sound very boring after giving you all these tips? Like your teacher, or parents, perhaps? Well, just bear with me for a bit. After all, I didn't copy these tips from anywhere. I wrote them out myself. If you actually read and follow them, you'll should be able to do well too. After all, this are the tips I follow. I follow my own advice. LOL.

My friends and I always carry a 'ritual' before each paper. We would always shake hands and wish each other good luck. I don't know how that would help, but I am sort of a very supersitious person so I do it before every paper anyway. Maybe you can try that out too :P.  

That's about all then for now. I would try to do some movies and book reviews in future posts. I've watched quite some movies and read quite some books recently.

Exams! Exams! Exams! (Revision)

Our school is currently in the exam period. Everything's been really hectic and busy recently, with so much revision and practice papers. We are stuffed with practice papers every day for us to finish by the next day.

Everyone's been really hectic and busy studying and revising these days that itmakes me feel sort of guilty since I still have time to surf the Internet and blog now. Perhaps I'm not revising enough.

But never mind.

I would be posting a series of tips on how to survive the exams. Today will be the first part:

10 Revision tips (Preparation for Exams)

1) Start revising early. Don't only do it until the day before the exam (which is precisely what I'm doing right now. Oh dear...)

2) Write down notes as you revise through your worksheets, papers, etc. Notes will help you remember things better and can be used as reference for future exams.

3) Sleep early the night before your exam so that you can keep a clear head during your exam.

4) Don't ever ever procrastinate! Do homework the second you receive them. Start revision months away from the exam. It's better to be early than late.

5) Plan a revision schedule and KEEP TO IT (This is what I have major problems with)! 

6) When you feel tired, go take a break. Even if you are revising last minute and have extremely little time, go take a break. If you don't and continue studying, you won't be able to get anything into your head. However, limit your breaks to within half an hour and get back to revision AT ONCE after your break.

7) Tackle subjects and topics you are weaker at first. This would ensure that if you don't have time in the end, you will at least be able to strengthen your weaknesses.

8) Practice, pratice and practice. Do assessment books, practice papers, whatever you can find to do. Make sure they are challenging though. Practices that you find are easy are useless.

9) Keep your notes in point form and keep them simple. You will have trouble keeping neat and deciphering complicated and long-winded notes. (Another point I need to improve at...)

10) My motto: Just get over with it! Even you don't feel like doing revision or homework, just get over with it. If you don't feel like doing something, tell yourself just do it, just get over with it. It will be over once you got over with it.

It reminded me of a picture I drew (I'll be uploading that ASAP) about an angelic cat versus a demonic cat. My picture, however, was more "cartoony" and with much less detail.

Transformice!

Recently (as in the last year or so), I discovered a game by the name of Transformice. (Link: en.transformice.com)

This game is created by two amazing game creators: Melibellule and Tigrounette (Spelling?)

Fact: They are French!

The objective of the game is simple.

You play a mouse:

Yep, that's you.

Your goal is to get the cheese and hole back to the mousehole:

Things are, of course, not that simple. You have to face many obstacles on your way to get the cheese. Your main enemy is neither a monster, nor a cat (lol). Your main enemy is physics.

Never fear, though, the Shaman is always there to help you:

The Shaman has a series of objects/tools she (all Transformice mice are female, check out the rules : http://transformicewiki.com/index.php?title=Transformcats/Rules_of_Transformice) can summon, to aid the mice. Or kill them. Don't worry, most Shaman aren't that evil :P.

These tools/objects include balloons, boxes, anvils, cannons, etc. etc.

When you gather enough cheese, you will be able to buy items for your mousy at the Shop. Here's a picture of a dressed up mouse:

Game rating (My opinion): 4/5 stars

I really love this game. It's absolutely epic, fun and wacky. It's one of the games I play the most and is most addicted. However, do note that the game server can be down sometimes and rather laggy in Rooms with many mice.

In any case, I highly recommend you try out this game! XD!
